WORLD KICKBOXING SERIES (WKS) is a world pro-am tournament created in 2016 by Andy Souwer, a legendary athlete and two-time Japanese K1 champion with countless other achievements in his career, and Jonathan Ruiz, trainer and promoter of major athletes and events in the USA. The purpose of WKS is to highlight the best Kickboxers in the world, promoting them through contracts in the largest professional global promotions.
World Kickboxing Series – Greece was established in the aftermath of the first ever WKS event in Europe, WKS Athens 2023, which was held in Galatsi Olympic Centre, in Athens, Greece on the 29th of April, 2023. Its main role is to oversee the development and promotion of World Kickboxing Series in Greece, as well as to provide a model, for all future European WKS events. WKS Greece Director is Ioannis Theofanous (Fight Club Galatsi / Theofanous Elite Team), and WKS Greece Assistant Director is Babis Panagiotakopoulos.
